C.A.R.E. will have its April meeting on Thursday April 14 (not the third Thursday as usual) to prepare for Earth Day activities and for the Maple Grove housing development hearing to be held the following week. On Thursday April 21, at 10 am, Island County will have an appeal hearing and subdivision land use hearing for the Maple Grove 84 unit housing development. We will be meeting the week in advance to finalize a hearing strategy and distribute comments. Please come and tell your neighbors and friends. The hearings will be held at the Camano Chapel, located at 867 S West Camano Dr. starting at 10 am. On Saturday, April 30 we will be hosting a Community Earth Day event to clean up Noxious weeds from the Gateway to Camano Island.
