SLOW FOOD POTLUCK- JUNE 16- SHAMBALA FARM - 6- 8:30pm
Join CARE members for an end of year celebration - and min-strategic planning for Fall and 2012. What would you like to see CARE focus on in the year ahead? We will discuss the need for new Board members and the potential for a Transition town study group for Stanwood-Camano. We will discuss the results of the May hearing for the 84-Unit Maple Grove housing development. Please come and plan to bring your own plate, cup and utensil, as well as a locally grown potluck item to share! 7pm - Guest speaker : Our Host, Nancy Chase of Shambala Farm and Permaculture Exchange will give a tour of her gardens and talk about what Permaculture has to offer. The farm is just up the bend from Camano Commons/Terry’s Corner, north of the Sunrise Blvd lighted intersection (just 5 minutes from Stanwood) at 395 E North Camano Dr. Protect our Water - Encourage Responsible Development - Practice Good Stewardship and Sustainability - Promote the Integrity of our Natural Habitats and Shorelines
