Camano IslandCamano Action for a Rural Environment is a group of Camano Island residents who care deeply about the future of the island and are working to preserve the rural character. CARE projects over the past 10-15 years have included protection of our sole-source aquifer, promoting responsible land use, encouraging good stewardship, and preserving of the integrity of our natural habitat.

CARE needs financial support from the community to continue its efforts to keep this the paradise that we have come to love.  We have recently switched from being reactive to developments that may damage the island's rural character to being proactive in influencing County regulations that affect our quality of life. Join CARE to help us acheive our mission and vision. Volunteering one to two hours of your time can make a big difference!
